On the Value of Time

What kind of value do you put on your time? Are you as respectful using your own time as you are when you use someone else's time? For example, if you are meeting a friend for coffee, how do you show up for them? Are you on time, so as not to waste theirs? Do you show up rested and engaged? Do you express curiosity and a desire to know more about what they are sharing with you?
...do you show up the same way for yourself?
One thing I like to do to check up on the way I'm using my time is imagining that I don't have a whole lot left.
If I only had 5 years left to live, what would I be doing differently with my time? What if I only had 1 year left to live? What does that say about how I'm using my time now? And why is it suddenly different if it's limited? What's stopping me from doing more of what I know I should be doing?
We're all living on an uncertain timeline. If I got hit by a truck tomorrow, would I be satisfied with my legacy? Would I feel like I had shown the people in my life who I love that I love them? Did I actively engage with myself and my own growth? Did I honour my values? Did I find fulfilment in my life?
Time is a valuable resource. How are you using yours?
